In order to connect to FL Studio, the code will use a common control protocol called 'Mackie.' This is essentially a way to map all of the faders, knobs, etc. On a Mackie keyboard to the faders, knobs, etc. In your software by making them both speak the same language. You'll be pleased to know the Editors Keys Studio Series microphones are just plug and play and work really well with Macs and PCs (and even iPads and Android Tablets.).

Review title of UnknownMissing something..to say the least.
This is about the best multitrack recorder I could find in the app store. So the good thing is that it is my favorite so far, however it is missing some simple comforts of usability and also has some major issues. You cannot fast forward your track so skipping large portions and general navigation is anything but user friendly. There are tool icons everywhere with no explanation of what they actually do. Consult the online manual if you want but many of these tools are not mentioned in it. The biggest complaint that I have is I just paid for the app only to find that it STILL will NOT allow me to mixdown the track to an audio file! So what's the point of recording when you cant make a finished product..So know I have to make a recording of my track on a separate device and lose a generation.
Thanks for the detailed review, it will help me to improve the app.As for the difficulty to move along the track, you can use the markers that allow you to easily move (to add a marker you make a long tap in the area above the tracks). Regarding the manual, you're right, we add new features very often and very quickly, and sometimes the manual is not updated. We are writing a new manual. To export a song, you click on the file button and then on the Mixdown button. You can determine the beginning and the end of the mixdown by moving the blue arrows that are located high up on the tracks. My laptop inbuilt mic works fine in things such as Camera (windows 8) or 'set up a mic' but it does not work in FL Studio! I have gone through all of the inputs in the mixer but none work! Please help!

Try switching between all your audio soundcards in FL Studio's audio settings. Typically the built-in/primary sound driver should support the mic

You have to use the ASIO4ALL (or FL ASIO in FL Studio 12) driver. Then in the driver's control panel make sure you have the input enabled (but don't worry, it should be by default).
Example (it can differ from your configuration): http://forum.cockos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17741&d=1363618063
Then, in a mixer's channel, select your device at the INPUT section. See:
